Cash Free Dining

Villiers Diner is now entirely cash free, with parents able to top up their child’s account using ParentPay meaning students no longer have to carry cash. This has lead to a more streamlined and efficient canteen for students.

Our expectation is all parent(s) and carer(s) must pay in advance for school meals using any of the methods below;

  1. Online using ParentPay - How do I top up my child’s account? Please click here to find out.

  2. Paypoint card – by cash at most the local newsagents (the card can be ordered by the school and is unique to each student)

We have included video guidance for parents to view which gives details on how to set up a ParentPay account. You can find further information on the ParentPay help page. For further queries or if you are unable to set up your account, please contact the school office via email on info@villiers.ealing.sch.uk

Our Diner

The dining hall and commercial kitchen were rebuilt in 2015/2016 costing approximately £1 million. Approximately 300 people can be seated in our dining hall and all meals are prepared in the kitchen on a daily basis. We buy the majority of our food produce from the local Southall community ensuring optimal freshness. Lunches at Villiers High School exceed ‘The School Food Trust’ national standards.

Our aim is to ensure that all aspects of food and nutrition in the canteen promote healthy choices for the school community.  We achieve this by:

  • Providing a welcoming environment.

  • Providing great value.

  • Providing a variety of food options.

  • Providing mealtime supervision.

  • Providing a cashless service to remove any stigma from free school meal users.

  • Promoting social responsibility by encouraging all dining hall users to use recycling and food waste bins.

  • We have a Catering School Council to provide valuable feedback so we can keep improving and innovating.

  • VHS Catering is wholly operated by VHS, our primary focus is always the health and wellbeing of our young people.

CoCo

An old boiler room and outdoor store space for bins has been converted into state-of-the-art garden café for staff and sixth form students. The unique green hub is described as a green oasis in an urban setting with a focus on staff and student wellbeing. Coffee Corner by Villiers also known as CoCo, offers students and staff the chance to socialise, catch up on work and enjoy drinks and snacks, at affordable prices. Furniture is made from Eco materials and the area also benefits from outdoor heating. Student art work is displayed in an exhibition space. It is a place that our staff and students can come together to think, create or just unwind in a picturesque green space. The menu was designed following survey of staff and students and offers in house and take away options as well as internal and outdoor seating areas. The café delivers a much trendier solution than you would typically expect from a school food & beverage area; with its own unique branding & a modern interior design. This is a cashless facility and only accepts debit or credit cards.
