Our Gardening Club

We have a thriving Gardening Club (GC) run by our school gardener, who has links with Kew Gardens and the Woodlands Trust. Participants enjoy a variety of gardening activates across the whole school estate. So far, the GC have: potted flowers around the school entrance and in our quad garden, pruned tree branches, help plant a privacy hedge, mowed the field, planted fruit trees, trailed seed varieties of vegetables, made their own compost, designed tree labels and sown a rooftop wildflower garden.

We are working to achieve the Royal Horticultural Society’s School Gardening Awards and are well on the way to gaining this outstanding award. Each term has a different focus, based on the causes our students and staff feel most passionately about. Read more below to see what excellent work has already been achieved and our future focus.
