*The Department for Education (DfE) will not publish Progress 8 scores for the Summer 2025 and Summer 2026 examination cohorts. Progress 8 relies on baseline assessment data from Key Stage 2 (KS2) SATs to calculate relative academic growth across Key Stage 4. Because primary school national curriculum assessments were cancelled during the COVID-19 pandemic for these specific year groups, the necessary baseline data does not exist to produce this metric.
The DfE expects Progress 8 to resume as a headline school performance measure from Summer 2027 onwards, when KS2 assessment data becomes available once again.
Key Stage 4 Pupil Destinations
In accordance with Department for Education (DfE) reporting guidelines, Key Stage 4 destination data is published two years after students complete Year 11 to track sustained post-16 outcomes. This metric measures the percentage of students who completed Key Stage 4 and remained in education, employment, or training for at least two consecutive terms (six months) following Year 11.
Metric:
Sustained Education or Employment
Cohort:
Students reaching the end of Key Stage 4 in 2024
