Joining Year 7 in September 2027

If your child is currently in Year 6, applications for a Year 7 place starting in September 2027 are made through your home local authority.

If you live in Ealing

Applications should be made through the London Borough of Ealing's secondary school admissions process.

Application deadline: 31 October 2026

If you live outside the London Borough of Ealing, you should apply through the local authority where you live, even if Villiers High School is one of your preferred schools.

Joining Villiers during the school year (Years 7 to 11)

Families move schools for many different reasons. You may have recently moved into the area, arrived in the UK or be considering transferring your child from another secondary school.  Changing school is an important decision and we encourage families to consider carefully what is best for their child. This is particularly important for pupils already in Years 10 or 11, as different schools may follow different GCSE courses, examination boards or option subjects. If you are considering transferring your child, you may wish to speak with their current school before submitting an application.

Applications to join Villiers during the school year are known as in-year admissions. In-year applications for Villiers High School are coordinated by the London Borough of Ealing.

Parents and carers should complete an online in-year application through Ealing Council.

If you live outside Ealing but would like your child to attend Villiers, please check the admissions arrangements with your home local authority.

Places are offered according to availability and the school's published admissions arrangements.

Admissions Criteria

Where there are more applications than places available, applications are prioritised in accordance with the school's published Admissions Policy.

Parents and carers are encouraged to read the policy before submitting an application.

Applications and offers are administered through the relevant local authority admissions process.

Waiting Lists and Appeals

If a place is not immediately available, applicants may be placed on the appropriate waiting list in accordance with the local authority's admissions arrangements. Waiting lists are ordered according to the relevant admissions criteria rather than the length of time an applicant has been waiting.

Parents and carers who are refused a school place also have a statutory right of appeal. Information about the appeals process will be provided with the admission decision.

Leaving Villiers High School: Withdrawal from the School Roll

If you decide that your child will be leaving Villiers High School permanently, please inform us as soon as possible. Parents and carers are required to complete a Leaver's Form so that the school can ensure the appropriate information is transferred and the child's school record is updated correctly.

• emailed to info@villiers.ealing.sch.uk;

• handed to the school reception; or

• posted to the school.

We strongly advise parents and carers not to withdraw their child from Villiers until another school place has been confirmed, wherever possible.
