CONTENT There are two units in this course: Unit 1 - USING ICT Unit 2 - MULTIMEDIA

· Internet and intranet website software

· Artwork and imaging software

· Presentation software

BENEFITS Students learn that ICT is not only about computers but also about TV, radio, text-messaging, web and e-mail, telephone, video, DVD and CD. The course helps students to design and produce their own multimedia applications, as well as take a critical look at multimedia in the world.

Students learn how to collect their own multimedia products - music, images or photographs - and then manage the process of putting these together to create something new. Students learn about how ICT is involved in Business and the Law. They learn the importance of managing and reviewing their work and testing it as well as thinking about how it could be distributed.

CAREERS There is a very wide range of employment opportunities such areas as Multimedia, Communications, Administration, Commerce, Software Development or Hardware Development, Network Management, Systems Analyst.
