Villiers High School is proud to be celebrating it’s Centenary in the 2007 – 2008 academic year.

Over the last 100 years the School has seen profound changes, from it’s inception as Southall County School in 1907 , later becoming Southall Grammar in 1945 and Southall Techincal School in 1963 until it’s current metamorphisis as Villiers High School in 1974. Today, whilst the nature and size of it’s student population has considerably changed, Villiers continues to create a nurturing, caring and inspirational environment in which every pupil is important and students and teachers approach school life with enthusiasm and enjoyment. Within the School expectations are high and success is consistently realised.

To commemorate our landmark year we are inviting past and present students, staff members and supporters of Villiers to celebrate its achievements and successes, to explore its past and to promote its potential.

Fundraising

We invite you to share in our celebratory year by helping us to establish the Villiers School Association through which past, present and future generations within the school and wider community can leave a lasting legacy to the next.

In the Association’s inaugural year, the students chose to fund a Sixth Form Award through the Villiers School Association. This is a financial award to celebrate the opening of the new Sixth Form communal study area at Villiers, as part of a consortium with Dormers Wells and Elthorne Park.

The students have determined the allocation of funds as follows:

  • To award a Leaver’s Bursary to one or more final-year students who have made an outstanding contribution to school life. The annual financial reward will go towards directly helping them in their career-paths after leaving school, be it towards fees, tools, instruments, equipment, business plans etc.
  • Equipping the Sixth Form Common Room with an i-Library, i-Pod Stations, Plasma & DVD area, Kitchen/Tuck Shop area

You can help by making a donation or you can have fun and organise your own fundraising event for the Villiers School Association Fund.
